Hydroponic gardening has been used since the 1600’s, and in recent years, has grown as a significant area of research and with the invention of plastic, it is being used with very satisfying results.Hydroponic gardening does not involve the use of soil instead, it deals directly with the life-providing elements of water, sunlight, nutrients and carbon dioxide. Hydroponic gardening is the process of growing plants in water as opposed to growing them in the soil. Ebb and flow, (a.k.a. Flood and Drain); Nutrient film technique (a.k.a. continuous flow); Drip watering Aeroponics system or Wick system, (a.k.a. Static Solution Culture)  are different types of hydroponic gardening techniques.

Once you understand that hydroponics is the process of growing plants in water with the addition of nutrients, as opposed to growing plants in soil. It’s easy to see why so many people prefer using organic materials and nutrients, as well as fertilizers and fungicides. for growing consumable food items like vegetables in their "organic" hydroponic gardening systems instead of man made materials.
